Tapatalk nag-screen

Postby BigBlockMopar » Sun Jun 18, 2017 3:53 am

Everytime I visit the forum with a mobile device, I get this annoying Tapatalk nag-screen shown. I'm kinda allergic to fullscreen ads popping up, which is why I'm using Dolphin (iOS) for browser.

Softly put, it's getting a bit old.

Is it really needed?

Nothing is "shown" when I look at your post. Maybe post a screen-shot?

See attachment.
That's the annoying nag-screen the Tapatalk forum-plugin shows to viewers who visit the forum with a mobile device which doesn't have tapatalk installed.

I've used Tapatalk a number of years ago, but lacking software-updates at the time, and phpBB-forums greatly improving their mobile themes with Responsive behaviour, made Tapatalk obsolete in my view.
IMO it has no added value anymore. And I tihnk they know it because otherwise they wouldn't have such a desperate Shove-our-ad-in-your-face policy...

The screen has to be clicked away manually before you can even visit the forum.

Granted, it's only shown once a day when visiting the forum, but I sometimes check out the forum with my phone during the day, and in the evening usually with my iPad.
(Nothing is shown when visiting with a regular computer though.)
