Tapatalk nag-screen

Everytime I visit the forum with a mobile device, I get this annoying Tapatalk nag-screen shown. I'm kinda allergic to fullscreen ads popping up, which is why I'm using Dolphin (iOS) for browser.

Softly put, it's getting a bit old.

Is it really needed?

Nothing is "shown" when I look at your post. Maybe post a screen-shot?

See attachment.
That's the annoying nag-screen the Tapatalk forum-plugin shows to viewers who visit the forum with a mobile device which doesn't have tapatalk installed.

I've used Tapatalk a number of years ago, but lacking software-updates at the time, and phpBB-forums greatly improving their mobile themes with Responsive behaviour, made Tapatalk obsolete in my view.
IMO it has no added value anymore. And I tihnk they know it because otherwise they wouldn't have such a desperate Shove-our-ad-in-your-face policy...

The screen has to be clicked away manually before you can even visit the forum.

Granted, it's only shown once a day when visiting the forum, but I sometimes check out the forum with my phone during the day, and in the evening usually with my iPad.
(Nothing is shown when visiting with a regular computer though.)

I get the same one, and its tricky to get it closed and still get to this site without ending up at the playstore asking to install the app. But I bet its working exactly as intended :)

Every day when I visit the forum on my phone, I'm still getting this annoying, hard to click away fullscreen tapacrap ad. Every single day.
Is there a way to modify the forum or this tapa-plugin to get rid this obnoxious advertising?
This has been a nuisance for a lot of people online (Google around) and makes me at least very hesistant to visit here at all when I'm mobile.

I see it once in a while too, maybe every few weeks? I do not know why and I've never used Tapatalk and don't know what it's for.

It was installed by another moderator.

I see it every day when visiting the forum. Hard to click away.
Also, I wonder how new visitors react or think when they visit MSextra-forum for the first time, but get shown a full screen add for some app instead first.

Tapatalk became 'big' when phpBB still didn't have a proper responsive mode/theme for their software.
It was convenient at first if you visited a number of different forums to have them gathered all in one App with the same layout.
I've used it years ago for some time, but didn't care for their UI that much.
Ever since phpBB-forums scale down nicely on mobile devices, IMO there's hardly any need for tapatalk anymore. But since they've gotten a good foothold with quite some users, people don't want to loose it anymore either.

Their advertising tactics are getting annoying. They're probably afraid losing the reason for their existence, and more likely income, whatever their business model is.

I've made a change (renamed a file) that appears to work for me in disabling that annoying advert screen. No idea on whether it will break anything though.

There's some code in the footer of the forum page I recall where it checkes for the presence of Tapatalk.

I won't be able to check on my default mobile browser (Dolphin) today as I clicked it away already, but on the Safari browser I'm noticing these two screens;

I used incognito mode in Firefox on my phone. No more nag screen after the change I made. (Making a .js file empty.)
