spark A blink still very weak,,B and C blink stronger

Post by django »

6 cyl engine ran well,,with wasted spark
but due to a setting error [outputs a, b, c]
I burned the V921 spark of A
when new bip 373 made it to spark A
The engine was running again but switches off for a second and then runs back further,,,,,,Now I noticed that spark A weak flashes
and after starting a time, spark A not blinking
I then replaced transitor Q6 ,,,this brought no improvement
when I replaced the U1 processor and new software in new setting,,,,,this did not bring any improvement
resistors I checked all good for spark A
also completely disconnected spark,,,, no improvement
the LED spark A keeps flashing weak

what could be more broken on the board v3 ?????
Please help help,, what I need to do

Greetings from Holland

Do you have the bip373 tab well insulated from the heatsink/ground?

hello
yes I am well insulated
I have the spark portion is now completely disconnected from the Megasquirt
if I let crank the engine ,,,then the 3 LEDs flash to the forfeited ,,,only spark A flashes very weak
If I select the setting in [outputs], only A spark, then flashing spark A strongly
I measured the voltage is 5V present

the magician knows the solution,,,,,,,help

It could be sync-loss or something. MS1 has no concept of that.

hello james
indeed, the LED flashing not in accordance with a rhythm
it could be the result of the clock ?,,,,,I can build on a single clock
or you have a better idea ??

Post up the MSQ you are using. What are you using to test the unit? Does not look like it is in the car.

Sorry I did not see you had replied. I was trying to establish how you were getting a tach in signal and what type as that is the area that seemed likely for the fault. Good to see you successfully traced it out on your own.
