Guys,
I am new to the MS world and have spent many hours looking through the forums, however I am now stuck and would like some advice.
My current setup is a MSI V2.2 running MSnS-E. I have got it fitted to an Australian Ford EL Fairmont and I am keeping the std computer to run things like the IAC and Fuel pump etc.
The question that I have is how do I go about using the FIDLE output to run the spark on my engine. I have had alook at http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/setup-tfi.html and I think that I have done the following mods to the board on the input side.
V2.2 board
Remove D8 (if fitted) and replace with 1k resistor, you may need to increase this if you get tach spikes.
Keep R10 as 390 ohms
Jumper XG1-XG2
My question relate to how to do the output side as I said to run on the FIDLE output as my std computer will continue to do this. I have hooked the PIP up to the TACH input so that is done but I am not too sure on how to board mods to suit that. If anyone here is able to shed some like that would be great
Cheers
Paul

The "Remove D8 if fitted ....." covers the PIP side of things.
For SPOUT you need to install one resistor and one wire. This is pcitured below the heading "When using the TFI module to drive the coil" but there is not presently a description or photograph.
In essence run a wire from the (-) leg of LED17 over to jumper hole X11 and also connect a 330ohm resistor from X11 to +12v. There is 12v at the right hand side end of D9 nearby. This is from memory so check with you voltmeter first.
If anyone would like to contribute some more words/pictures for this - please do.
