Noob here, need a little help with edis

Post by 2muchboost4u »

hello. i have a couple of questions since i am coming from a fuel only haltech to ms.

i have ms1 with a v3 board.
i also have a couple of extra ignition drivers here incase i need them

i would like to run gm coil, or ford edis packs for my 4 cylinder, a 36-1 wheel, with pickup.
how would i wire this up or change my ms to run this setup? i have looked at a couple of sites but wanted to know if there was a more simple diagram that someone could show me. thanks for the help.

notes say
remove c30,d1,d2. replace r12 . first point.... i didnt install these as im only using vr circuit. do i need any of them in? r12?
second point. jumpers.
notes say.. jumper tachsel to xg1, opto out to tsel.
now ive jumped tachsel to vrin already for vr
and tsel to vrout for vr.
do i add the extra jumpers as well?
thanks for any help mike.
Are you running EDIS or are you running the Wheel decoder?

For EDIS using a Ford EDIS module you should use the Opto input, not the Vr input. follow the instructions word for word and it will work straight off.

If you are using the VR input to run the Wheel decoder in wasted spark mode without the EDIS module, you are not running EDIS, so why are you even reading the instructions for EDIS? you need to read the Wheel decoder instructions.
