Need help in double checking my setup

Post by 914Nick »

Here's the thing,
I'm using MS1 V3.0 pcb, and i've already posted a topic looking for directions about setting up the MS to use wasted spark on a subaru EJ20 with a custom mounted 36-1 crank wheel and MSnS-E.
This is what i've done so far, please point out any ommissions or wrong wiring i might have made:
1- Jumpers:
VRIN to Tachselect
VROUTINV to TSEL
Jumper accross R43
2- VB921 (plugged two of 'em)
1st one: mounted it to the heat sink's rightmost slot:
Leg 1 connected to the 330 ohm resitor, and then to the top of R26
Leg 2 connected to two wires, one goes to SPR1, and the other (based on your previous replies) should be soldered to one the db37's pins directly, but i can't figure out which pin corresponds to SPR1
Leg 3 was grounded where it should have been (rightmost hole under the module
2nd one: mounted to the sideplate, near the DB37 (heat sink is full):
Leg 1 connected to the 330 ohm resistor, and then to the top of R29
Leg 2 connected to two wires, one goes to SPR2, as for the 2nd wire same problem as for The first VB 921
Leg 3 grounded to the jumper that i've fitted accross R43
apart from that, everything was populated according to the V3 assembly manual on the megasquirt site.
is there anything else i should adjust? more jumpers to install? any special gauge wire for the abovementioned connections?
I'm using the megasquirt's relay board, and i found outputs on it named s1-s5 and i figured those are the ones corresponding to the SPR outputs on the MS pcb. is that right ?
Regards
Nick
p.s: the jumpers mentioned above are the only ones i've set...
