Can someone confirm what # for wheel decode?

Post by Jon k »

BMW 60-2... i have been receiving conflicting replies.

James gave me:

Try this:
Trigger angle = 60 BTDC
Cranking advance = 12
Trigger A = 46
Trigger A return = 54
Trigger B = 6
Trigger B return = 14
Trigger C = 26
Trigger C return = 34

I have received diff info from E30Tech.com - this is on a BMW M50 motor. I modified the M30 diagram to be for the M50... thats what my M50 looks like @ TDC.

That would seem right to me based on this digram. 10 teeth (60 degrees) BTDC is tooth 46

My #'s for M30 are totally different though
