*UPDATE*: MSnS_Extra Daugther Board v2.0 - READ

Post by error* »

Hello everyone,
I'ts been a while. First off I want to applogize to everyone, especially Glen from Glen's Garage. I'd like to clear things up that he is not to blame for the huge delay for the daughter boards. I will be making arrangements with him to compensate, at my expense, those who have paid Glen already and have been waiting. The new boards should be ready in less then 2 weeks. I have updated and included nearly all the circuits from the MSnS_E Project.

1. Dual VR Conditioning Circuit (For those with V3 of the MS board no worries just use one of the two circuits)
2. Sequential Shift Lights
3. 4 Output circuits with 12V contact source
4. Boost Control
5. Nitrous Control
6. High/Low Table Switching (Determined by setting a Jumper)
7. Water Injection Control
8. Launch Control
9. EGT Logging
10. 2nd O2 Sensor Input
11. Narrowband Knock Detection
12. Realtime Barometric Correction

**Tach Output is Simply one of the outputs with a 1k resistor in place of the original diode.

Features:
- All circuitry has been made such that traces are as short and direct as possible.
- Double sided PCB
- Dimentions are now ACTUALLY 4" x 2.75"
- Better Legend and Labeling
- All the pins that need to goto the MS are collected in a tidy Header Pin Connector (20 pin)
- Left hand side of the board has all the inputs (i.e Sensors and Switches)
- Right hand side of the board has all the outputs (i.e Pins for Relays and such)
- Special attention for the EGT circuit so that it is optimal (Thanks Glen)
- The pressure sensor mounts on the bottom (Solder Side of the Board, just like the MS)
- Correct Transistor Layout Markings

I've sent the Gerber Files to the PCB Manufacturer... and will keep you guys posted!!!!

Ah, so you sure the screen is correct for the transistors? Double check :-P

Looks good man! I'll be down for a few of these once they are ready. If you need any BETA help, drop me a line.

Regardless...looking forward to the final product.

Looks great! I'm a bit new to all of this but does the board incorporate the PWM idle stuff or do I just do those mods to the main MS board?

it looks great
it would be nice to have a daughtercard like this for sequentieel injection
so you would have a choice to use it or not
i don't know how complicated this would be adapting the E code for this
and if the proccesor can handle it

What is meant by narrowband knock detection?
