Old EDIS install, new firmware

Post by pato »

I have resolved most of my rough idle issues but am still getting some hunting or stuttering at idle. The timing light shows an approx 10deg jump when the idle stutters.

I have been looking on the MSnS pages and saw the statement:

if you are an old user and used the old "EDIS4" wiring back in 2003 with the early MegasquirtnEDIS firmware then set the Trigger Angle to 23 degrees.

Well, I did my install back in early 2004 and do not remember it too well. What do I need to look at on my board to determine if I should be using 0deg or 23deg for trigger angle?

EDIT: From memory and the page I found, it appears that I did use the old/ original board mods. Would my use of Trigger Angle 0deg rather than the recommended 23deg account for the strange behavior I am seeing? I will try 23deg to morrow and see if there is a change.

Recap: 2.2 board, v29q MSnS, MT 2.25

Thanks,

P
