Problems with launch control. Searched and didn't find answe

Post by cilegray »

Ok, so I wired in the launch control on my V2.2 board.

2.2k resistor going from JP1 last pin (+5V) going to JP1/4, and a jumper wire from pin 4 to X14. Pin 31 on my harness goes to a momentary switch that shorts to ground when I press it.

Up to now, I'm thinking everything should be working fine and straight... but when I open megatune, to my surprise, my launch control is exactly inverted.

When I press the switch, it deactivates launch control. When I'm not pressing it, launch control engages.

Anyone know what's up, or a way around this ? I just rechecked my wiring and I'm pretty d*** sure it's all wired fine. Momentary from ground to JP1/4, which is connected to a +5v via 2.2k resistor.

Are you positive your switch isn't normally closed -type, such that it opens the circuit when you press it?

Turns out the package was mislabeled.... they were the wrong type switch...

momentary 'open' in a bag labeled momentary 'closed'...

stupid label.

Is this on a clutched car or an auto? I tried to use launch on a button in my clutched car and couldn't get it right. I installed a clutch switch (modified brake light switch) and I LOVE IT.

Glad you got it working cile...i just flat out forgot to reply to your PM box after you cleared it out :-P

Launch control is awesome, but dangerous with boost. I was building boost on the line and couldn't get like 30ft before burning up 2 gears worth of tire :) Tis was fun.
