4-1 trigger, how do I do it

I´m using extra code, honywell hall, distributor, 1 coil and my trigger wheel is 4-1.

I would like to know how important is that tooths are excaktly between 90 degrees.

I know that the first spark comes at 1:st tooth and second at 3:rd tooth, but does megasquirt calculate second spark 180 degrees from first tooth or does it give spark excaktly when the 3:rd tooth is passing by honeywell?
