spark map problems

right ive had loads of problems with my spark map :twisted: :twisted:

it doesnt seem to run to bad but as far as m/s and my knock sensor is saying its knocking under boost again ok till around 7-8 psi boost but i carnt hear anything

can someone have a look at my setings and spark map just incase im doing something wrong

2.0 turbo tigra 10.1 standing 1/4 @ 145 mph with problems :( havent turned the boost up yet

Am I reading that spark map right?
The top three kpa rows are 50, 8, 224 kpa ? That will totally screw it up. The kpas MUST be in order, high to low. Put the top ones at 255,254 if you don't want to use them.

dont no james unless it screwed up when i uploeaded it but heres what the map should be
2.0 8v turbo 10.7 standing 1/4@136mph on m/s fastest mk2 astra 8vt in europe !!!
2.0 turbo tigra 10.1 standing 1/4 @ 145 mph with problems :( havent turned the boost up yet

You are running a 3bar map sensor then. My Megatune is set to the standard map sensor so the kpa readings came in wrong (255kpa max)

no ive got a 4bar in it but ive only done the map to 3 ! :lol:

whats wrong with the spark map ive got am i doing something wrong ??

the 1st half of the map is used from some one with the megajolt running a 1.8 vaux engine and he said the spark maps the same so i used that for that part of it

could i get away with a bit more advance the standard map for the 1.8 engine runns 9.2:1 c/r im running 8.0:1 c/r

So... what's the problem exactly? It's knocking, right?

What's the:
air/fuel ratio?
intake air temp?
fuel ocane rating?

There's a lot of factors that go into knock...

air/fuel is around 11.5 to 12.0 99% of the time it was at 11.0 but ive leaned it off a bit to keep it around 11.5 i no it should be around 12.5 for best power but im keeping it in the safer zone for now i think im useing one of your fuel maps from ur site ( ive tryed so many ive forgoten lol )

intake is about 1* more than outside temp carnt say i really looked at that to much but its never much over that its got a huge intercooler on the front of it !!

running 95 octane gas

m/s is saying its knocking ( little tell tale on the bottom ) and my knock sensor is saying its knocking and its about half way set on sensitive by the instrutions ive got but i carnt here it knocking at all

its usally around the 3200 and up if i bring in the boost slow its not to bad the odd flick of the light now and then but if i plant the foot it goes mad but nothing can be herd

we picked a cell that it knocked on bad ( by the light ) and added then removed advance and the light got worse but we could not get it to stay off we got it to slow the light down instead of flicking on and off like a stobe light but as far as getting it to stay off i carnt

im useing the knock sense unit
and as per instrutions get the car to idle and turn till the light comes on adn the back it off 15-20 * mines more like 90* at the mo i dread to think what it would be like if i put it back to 15*

as soon as ive got the money its going on the rollers to be set up but ...

i would rather do it my self i build the engine , m/s unit and part maped it my self so i want to see it through to the end !!
