need some help....

Post by Zach »

whenever i go to open mega tune a window pops up saying:

controller code version does not match signature in MSnS-extra.ini
(see audit.log where above file was found)

expected MSnS extra format 029b ******** found in ini file
recieved MSnS extra format 024s ******** ( from controller)

i need to know how to change this so it wont corrupt any files.

the car is a 1995 nissan 240sx using megasquirt version 1 with megatune and running the EDIS setup...

thanks for the help

It depends on what code version you want as to how to fix it. If you intend to run 029b, then somehow it has not yet been loaded into the Megasquirt. However, I would recommend you move to 029r unless you're staying on 024.

In the msns-e folder, there is a file called download_firmware.bat. you need to use this to download a new firmware to the controller. Once there, you need to place teh appropriate ini file (same folder) to teh megatune directory, so that MT and MS speak the same 'language'. This is covered on teh msns-e site:

http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/

Look at 'setting up'
