MS1 hiccups...cured in MS2?

Post by Jason96SL2 »

Just curious, I have a 4age 20v engine that loves to rev...but I've noticed running msns-e on MS1 that there are high rpm hiccups where the ms can't seem to keep up. Have these issues been solved with the MS2 or should I pony up and throw in a horribly expensive standalone ecu and retire the ms1 to my much lower revving nissan?

Could you provide some more details please, code version, ignition/fuel setup, MSQ, datalog etc.

There aren't any known issues like that with MS1.

James

MS1 hiccups...cured in MS2?

there is a guy with a jet ski that revs a whole lot more than a 20v like yours or my partners though, and he seems to have no such issues. must be a signal problem or something...

It's running the latest msns-e code with a ford edis. I'm wondering if it's the edis that has the "hiccup" I'll see if I can catch it in the act with a datalog. Fuel is 450 cc injectors with a resistor box to make them high imp.

when you say high rpm, how high? i believe edis does have an upper limit quite close to the 8k redline or a blacktop.

if you are using eids you might need resistor spark plugs, otherwise they might start missing on high rpm's
