Wireing my boost control fet in,
wondering if I can mount the fet to a grounded heatsink (no plastic screw)
also plan to mount a to-220 cased npn transistor for fan control onto the same heatsink, any issues with the ground?
Thanks.

If it is a TO220 the case of the FET is also a drain lead and the transisor case is the collector. In other words you cannot ground them. You need to use insulating hardware.
