Why/How to get Run & Cranking engine code at the same ti

Post by hobieboy »

Well, almost ready to really fire her up... Was testing the system tonight - hooked everything up but disabled the fuel pump & injectors then cranked the engine as if to start it.

The log shows that all parameters are good. RPM is ~220 during crank. But, as soon as RPM goes >0, engine code becomes 3. Megatune section says we should never see 3. So, what am I missing before I really try to start her up?

I'm running MSv3.0 board 29q2 firmware with MT 2.25.

thanks.

That's how it works in MS1/Extra.

Thanks for the "comforting" answer James - so I can move to firing her up for real later today then.

But, maybe I should post in Megatune forum to have the text changed? According to this page: http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/mtune.htm, half way down before DataLogging section, it says that one should never sees a 3 (running & cranking).
