I see lots of statements that VR polarity must be correct but none as to how I tell if its correct. Should I get a positive pulse on tach as metal moves towards the sensor or away?
Also I see some conflicting info on jumpering TSEL. Should it be to VRout or VRoutinv?
Any help would be appreciated.

VR Polarity

Just got my EDIS up and running in limp mode. While assembling I found that you could not get a polarity reading on a VOM. Polarity would swing from + to - which makes sense after I read up on how the VR works. I did find that you can get an AC voltage off of it while cranking (~1.5 VAC). All this did was ensure that the VR was close enough to the trigger wheel to operate.
Like the instructions say I guessd when I hooked it up. it's a 50/50/90 thing. 50/50 shot at getting it right and 90% of the time your wrong . I swapped the leads and it worked. My grey wire turned out to be - but Im not using the plug that came off of the crank trigger so the color coding is meaningless.
