Bosh 4 pin to condition VR signal

Post by rs2000 »

I have a VR dizzy currently firing the coil itself with a 4 pin bosch module. Ms gets its tach signal from the coil -. The module does not look like the one on the extra pages. It is a small rectangle with all 4 pins coming out along one of its lengths.

What i was wondering is if i lock the dizzy down can i connect the coutput of the module to ms (but not to the coil -), and use that as my tach signal? Is it likely to damage the module or ms? Then i would be using a VB921 to fire the coil..

Thanks

I don't see why this wouldn't work, same as the old HEI4 conditioner setup. You'll need a pullup resistor on the tach input.
