neon/mode problem VE stuck at 100 no Start problem =(
Engine descritiption on Signature
problem:
Been driving the MS for 4 months now on Fuel only, few days back i went and solder the vb921 onto it it wouldnt fire car up even if i had Spark control via stock PCM the MS would not fire fuel on NEON/MODE on
I plug stim and same problem. only time it workes is if i turn MS on with neon/decoder off then switch to neon/mode on it works on both Stim and Car but once i turn power off it will not fire back up
the VE stuck at 100 and the middle LED is not firing up the outer LED d17 and d19 are working but not the middle one.
i unpluged the vb921 to see if i had solder some wrong but same result once i switch to neon/decoder the MS will not fire Fuel
MS works perfect on fuel only once i switch back to neon/mode OFF.

yeah the board mod for spark and the vb921 board.1seymour wrote:is soldering in the vb921 the only change you made?
what drives me crazy is that it works but only if i start the car with neon/mode off then switch it to neon/mode on. once MS is powered down no more start.
how can i change the VE to crank lower like in the 40's it may be that is flooding the engine since its stuck at 100?

I loaded your MSQ onto my Megasquirt/stim and do not see any map oddities it reads 97kpa and responds to a syringe fine.
Have other Neon users successfully shared the crank sensor between the stock ECU and Megasquirt ?

Have you tested the map sensor with a syringe (e.g. type used for filling inkjets)
The 100kpa reading at the end seems feasible as it reads 99kpa at the beginning before you start it.
I'm guessing that the 104kpa was a backfire??
Are the rpm readings valid? i.e. max of 248rpm
