It's been a long time since I have heard any chatter about it but back then it seemed to work. I just went and looked and I think it is called launch control now.

Search for that because I know I have seen recent posts on Launch cotrol. I'm sure it is in 29q2.

29q has LC, although not antilag. Anti lag i'm referring is massively retarded ignition and lots of fuel with throttle closed, using idle valve.

Sorry, I just glanced at it and saw the timing retard and thought that was it. I wonder what happened to it? i know it was being used.

So was it removed from the code because people were killing engine/turbo parts?

it doesn't kill turbo's with a maram shaft.

What is a maram shaft? I work with turbo's and I've never heard of that. Personally, I would be more worried about my exhaust valves than the turbo.

but is the anti-lag (based on rpm/tps - not a switch) present in the current version?

i'm still at 024 so i'm not sure how the LC works in the later versions (yet).

Considering that an Australian state-level gravel/dirt rally totals ~180km of competitive stages with a total of about 140km of travel between stages... depending on how often you compete, you might only attend 3 or 4 rally events, so the amount of damage you'll do is minimal.

Daily driver use? it would be pointless and futile... and noisy.

Charles.

Marm 247 is an alloy developed by NASA for turbine blanes. Group A teams use (now what we know as WRC cars) Garrett turbos specially designed to take the heat and shock loads of ALS.
