Wheel Decoder

Post by RickRST »

Hello there :)

i was going to use EDIS, but due to certain limits (spark cut for one) i would like to use wheel decoder.

I've done a search, but info is sketchy. I would like to know what hardware mods are required on the V3 board - which i have yet to order.

I will be using a 36-1 wheel wih an inductive pickup. Do i need a conditioning circuit for this, or is it std in V3. What about ignition drivers? COP (with cam sensor) would be nice, but for now i want wasted spark ie two igntion outputs.

Many thanks :)

Ok, i've just found that the V3 has one conditioner circuit built in.

If i eventully use 2 VR inputs, and a four spark outputs, do i loose any other features that these outputs may be used for?

Check out the board picture shown on http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra which lists the usage of the various pins on the chip.
