I am wondering how good the maps are as a start point from the ignition timing estimator, I am running a Toyota 4AGE on GSXR 750 TB's
Sorry if this has been done before.

Ignition timing estimator - how good?
Moderators: jsmcortina, muythaibxr
Well Neilb - I'm using pretty much the estimated ignition map on my 1800cc ford zetec and it seems happy enough.
There may be a little too much advance on very low load and <2000rpm because the car practically drives itself with the level of advance it suggested (!) however this is easy to tune out.
Certainly no nasty pops/bangs from incorrect timing but I can't comment on the fuel economy as I've not done a run yet, too much WOT tuning
