Launch Control Issue...

Post by SBDJ »

Hi all,

Running 029q2 on my MS v3. Everything is running OK, except launch control.

I've set the launch control cut type in rev limit type, and the limits up in the launch control configuration, but when I push the switch it effectively does nothing. "Launch On" lights up in MegaTune, but no limits are applied :?

What am I doing wrong?

What are your settings exactly?

First, check that the revlimiter is doing the job. Set it to say 1500 and gradually press the throttle. If it keeps going above the limit then your hard cut/limiter type isn't effective.
I use a retard to 1btdc and cut 5 of 6 (from memory) spark cut only.

Once you've confirmed the rev limit reset it to normal and check the launch settings. Pay attention to the flat shift arming rpm. If you press the button above that rpm then your flat shift limits are applied instead of launch.

Rev limiter is working perfectly :)

Ahhh, I didn't even look at the flat shift settings, I'll go out and have a look now though...

Thanks :)
