Software Installation questions

Post by DGruber58 »

Just got a new computer, and am going to be installing all the necessary software for MSNS -e, megatune, mst3k.

The first time I did this, on my current computer, I installed in an unorganized manner, to say the least. It made using the various programs a pain, to say the least, needing to track down various s19 files, etc. I think it is safe to assume I missed reading something in the readme's. I think it was installing the extra code, to be specific.

So what is the best way to install all the software? Or do you just have to copy paste certain files to other directories and deal with it?

My goal here is to start with a fresh slate, generate new factors for my coolant sensor, reinstall/download everything to the main board.

thanks for any help

Maybe just start with a dedicated Megasquirt folder and put all your code and inc files etc into subfolders.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Find the version of firmware your using and save it somewhere on the harddrive, read this and rather than where it says 026h8 simply open your firmwares dir.

This is helpful for upgrading, etc:

This is if your not using the original sensors:
