Convert default msg files from 029q2 extra to 029q2 hr 08e?

Hi!

I MUST say that I'm still "pretty" newbie on this area, so I will need pretty clear (but perhaps advanced too) guide to do that.. (The why I'm newbie is that I never had/have car (yet) but I'm helping my brother on megasquirt

So, how do I convert 'Default Files' (msg files) from 02q2 extra code to 02q2 hires 08e version one?

I know I should do next: flash the code, open megatune and the file and then save as new name..

But I don't understand the "flash the code" part, what is that and how do I complete that part?

Or I just must write down or print the settings and use export/import on the tables?
