I have Mitsubishi MAF which outputs 5V square wave 50% duty cycle:
40Hz at idle 800rpm
70Hz at 1500rpm
90Hz at 2000rpm
160Hz at 3500rpm
As I understand, this type of MAF doesn't need IAT, because it computes true mass of air and temperature correction is already handled because of the way the MAF works..? If not, I suppose it has IAT built-in anyway - there are 7 pins used, I measured all of them, and one output looks like temperature sensor.
This type of MAF cannot be used with MSnS-E? Is it planned for MS2 Extra?
If I plug some schema in between to convert frequency to linear voltage 1..5V, what are requirements for output signal jitter and propogation delay? Then I could wire/program MS for constant IAT and it should work?
Low frequency MAF
