PWM Current Limit question

Just curious if there is any common range of typical value or is this completely "random" / dependent on the car & build?

Megamanual and some posts seem to imply that this can/is as low as 25-30% on idle? From the 2 minute test I did, I settle on 41% on mine. When I lower it to 38%, when I rev the engine, it seems to hessitate a bit before going - is this sign of too low?

I'll be using the car mostly on track; meaning at high duty cycle and want to make sure that I won't melt or blow any injectors.
