No spark using MSnS

Post by djjohnj25 »

1989 BMW 325i Using MS1 to drive a coil. MS1 is 029q2. I am using 60-2 We try to crank the car and we can see the injectors firing (noid light)and the rpm on the megatune display looks good. When we check for spark we have nothing. When we look at pin 36 we have no chage on the multimeter. Then we decided to check the Fidle thinking we had wired it wrong. I have assigned spark everyway possible in megatune and still nothing on either wire. It has no change while cranking. Now we do not know what else to do. In megatune I am slightly confused as to what LED 17 and LED 19 really means. Does it relate to the LED on the outside of the ECU and then relate to a pin on the DB37 connector? I did not build the MS1 I purchased it assembled.

led 17/19 refers to the CPU pin that controls those LEDs. You have to wire it to the DB37. If your MS was modified for spark you need to know what output they configured. If it wasn't modified for spark then that's what you need to do.
