with a v3 pcb you dont need a LM1815 if you only have a crank sensor.
1990 Mazda Miata: GM Gen3 V8 swap, 4.8L, custom cam, 2x GT2860R turbos, MS3 + MS3X.
2003 Kia Rio wagon: Mazda B6T/G25MR swap, Miata CAS, IHI RHF5 @ 2bar, LSx truck coils, P&H board, boost control.

I thought you needed the LM if you had a VR sensor, be it a crank or distributor pickup (Unless using EDIS or HEI). I thought it turned the pulses into a square wave for megasquirt..

you only need the lm1815 if you're using a 2.2 board... the v3 board already has the circuitry to convert a single VR input into a +5v square wave.

Thank you for yours answers

I was thinking the same thing that you, but talking with a friend and the doubt appeared.

In short, don't need a LM1815 with a MS-I v3.0

Thanks!
