Megatune locking up on your laptop? Heres a fix

If you are running your laptop off of battery power while datalogging or tuning, and Megatune or tunerstudio keep locking up give this a shot.

Power management settings on your laptop(on Vista its in the control panel under power management, in XP its in the device manager, click the + sign next to usb devices, right click each "usb root hub" item and select properties, go to the power management tab).

Most likely the problem is that your laptop is set to turn the USB ports off to conserve power, uncheck the box and click OK and you should be good to go.

Hope this helps anyone having lockup issues in any of the tuning problems. Took a couple hours of googling to find the solution, and I figured I'd bring it here to the MS forum for easy access, unless its already here somewhere.
