Hey
have ms1 v2.2 running edis on a mitsu 4cyl 2.6 throttle body injection. She has always had a hard start and feel that it might be spark related, maybe cranking timing angle??
any idea?
Also cant adjust cranking timing to trigger return as per the manual http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/MS_ ... l.htm#edis any ideas there?

Re: ms1 v 2.2 edis hard start
If you disconnect the SAW wire and check the timimg with a light then that will show you the edis's static timing which is also the timing edis will use when starting the car. Edis only hands timing control over to the ecu when the revs are high enough for it to consider the engine running.
Find the Manuals up top under Quick links: Manuals.

So basically any thing under a certain rpm is ten no matter what?slow_hemi6 wrote:If you disconnect the SAW wire and check the timimg with a light then that will show you the edis's static timing which is also the timing edis will use when starting the car.
