Hello
My ms car has been resting for the Winter, and I have forgot parts of the little I understood last year. How comes that at the ECO control, active above rpm, I often find 1100 rpm...
Doesn't this mean that one will miss out on EGO control at idling. couldn it be good to have EGO control at idling? (specilly when dong the yearly inspection of the car)

Re: EGO control?
It depends on the engine and the exhaust system. Here are things that can cause EGO correction not to work well at idle - if none apply to your engine, go for it.
1. Too much cam overlap sends fresh air into the exhaust, giving a false lean reading.
2. An O2 sensor that's too close to the exhaust outlet can have outside air pulled at idle.
3. An O2 sensor too far away from the exhaust ports can have its reading delayed to the point the control doesn't work very well.

Re: EGO control?
Hi, i have 288 cam with agressive overlap, ego control in iddle didnt work, the only way is calibrate to rich for the smooth idle.
