Spectre EMS Pro Mitsubishi 4G37

Post by warp21 »

I'm in the process of installing a Spectre EMS Pro onto a Mitsubishi 1.8l 4G37. The tach in seems to be pretty straight forward but I have a question about driving the stock igniter. The manual shows it being driven from a point between the top of D14 and a 750 ohm resistor running to the 5v on the proto. The EMS Pro has a dip for 5v ign pull up but I feel this is not totally correct. Would enabling the 5v pull up be adequate in this situation?

Maybe I should ask for some schematics of the ems pro. I have tach in working and can see rpm while cranking, I just want to make sure I don't fry anything if I attempt to drive the stock igniter.

I would expect the DIP switch pull up to work with the stock ignitor.

Thanks Matt, it does seem to work. I am finding the Spectre EMS Pro a bit picky when sharing sensors. The 12v pullup dip for the hall/opto did not work but running a 1k resistor from tachin to 12v works fine.
