You can try Pin 2 coming out of the EDIS (that is the Diagnostic Monitor port or some such thing) and if that doesn't work you need to drive the Tach off two or more coils which involves building a small circuit.
You can also bring a Tach signal out of the MS box on one of the spare outputs through the DB37 from several sources on the v3.0 board. That is covered in the manual.
