starts then dies after a second
Hey guys
Has not really been much of a problem till it got cold but engine starts then dies after a second. I did a data log and looks like injectors stop firing. After two or three attempts it runs fine.
Any ideas?
It's a throttle body system and always had problems with it in the extreme Canadian cold starting.
I will try and post data log and msq when I get to my computer can't seem to do it from my phone

Looks like you need to adjust afterstart enrichment a bit.

Re: starts then dies after a second
hey
Ok here is my question, does it not look like the injectors stop and thats why it dies? Or is the afterstart way to low and it does not even have a chance to run?
Also, mine is a TBI set up so I have 2 injectors for 4 cylinders. Does that mean I should be roughly doubling what the megamanual says for roughsettings, or does the required fuel take care of that for me?
Thanks

Re: starts then dies after a second
the injectors stop because the engine does. what i see is probably your cranking rpm is too high. the engine ran for 2 seconds at part throttle and 15ms pw. when it finally caught and ran the pw was in the 5ms range.
Re: starts then dies after a second
What do you mean my cranking rpm is to high? Are you taking about the 300 rpm in the settings? What do you think it should be?

Re: starts then dies after a second
taking a closer look cranking is turning off it just happens that your cranking pw is the same as running with all the multipliers.
it is probably getting too much fuel, i would do either or combination of the following
1. reduce cranking pw
2. reduce ve around 600 rpm 80-100 kpa
3. shorten ase fixed time
