TPS back to front? Swap Vref (5v) and Ground connections at the TPS. - Michael

Hi Michael, as I am Running in parallel with OEM ECU, I have join ms1 sig-wire to pin 5 only, no Ground or Vref (5v). Thanks.Michael wrote:TPS back to front? Swap Vref (5v) and Ground connections at the TPS. - Michael

so you have high TPS reading when closed throttle and low reading at WOT ?

2Swe's circuit should work OK. I have two further thoughts:
1)You say you have MS sig pin connected to pin 5 only. presumably pin 5 of tps, most TPS only have 3 pins: +ve, sig and ground. However, I have to admit I am not familiar with VW products so........
2) In any case if you are only using the sig wire from MS, then MS has no reference voltage, but will probably see ground via the vehicle metalwork. So the TPS voltage seen by MS will float.
A third and final thought, take care not to get 12v on the MS TPS signal wire, not sure how it would take it!
Best Wishes - Michael
