Wiring a 5 pin MAF
How do you do this on the v2.2 board? I've worked out what wire is what on the sensor and made up the circuit in http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/MS_ ... al.htm#maf but this only gives me 2 extra outputs? The sensor has the following wires
Pin 1 - air temp sensor
Pin 2 - 12v live
Pin 3 - ground
Pin 4 - 5v ref
Pin 5 - maf signal
So air temp goes to pin 21
12v live goes to live
ground to ground
5v ref goes to 5v output on on x7
where do I connect the MAF signal wire too? This is the part thats got me stumped as I can't find anything through searching.

The MAF signal wire goes to whatever pin you wired to X7.

According to the diagram the 5v ref should go to x7? do I join the 2 wires together?Matt Cramer wrote:The MAF signal wire goes to whatever pin you wired to X7.

Re: Wiring a 5 pin MAF
X7 is for the MAF signal and you should wire it to an unused pin on the DB37, then wire that pin to the MAF.

So what do I do with the 5v ref wire?

Thanks i'll test this tomorrow, I thought pin 26 was for the TPS only so guess I need to tap into that for the MAF as well.

Re: Wiring a 5 pin MAF
It's for anything that needs 5 volts; on a typical (speed density) install, that's just the TPS.

Does the MAF ground go to MS signal ground OR engine ground?
(MS2extra question, but I'm assuming the answer will be the same)
