MS1 wasted spark 2 cylinder setup

Post by blitz102rus »

hi guys I'm newbie and I'm megasquirting inline twin with MS1 v3 extra(fuel and spark)
manual(http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms1extra/MS_ ... #2cylinder) says
PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU PLAN TO RUN IGNITION ON A 2 CYLINDER ENGINE THEN YOU MUST SET THE ENGINE UP AS A 4 CYLINDER USING THE WHEEL DECODER (36-1, ETC) AS THE CODE FOR IGNITION WILL HAVE TOO LONG A DELAY TO WORK CORRECTLY.
ok, but the picture confused me
Image
what is correct?
second question about wheel decoder xls, it has options for 2 or 4 cyl, I must use 4 cyl option?

Is it a 180 or a 360 deg twin?

I see you've set trigger positions A and B identical. If you are using the "pretend it's a four cylinder" trick, enable spark B and set trigger position B to be 180 degrees out - in your case, that would be 11 for Pos B and 1 for Return Pos B.
