Won't rev past 2700 rpms, datalog/tune

Post by nsusammyeb »

2005 IS300
turbocharged
diyauto trigger wheel
vr sensor
ford coilpack w/ direct drive

Car runs great up to 2700 and hits a rev limiter it feels like. Almost like a 2 step. Launch control disabled, overboost disabled, rev limits right. No reason for the limit. The datalog shows some spikes in the iat, clt, and rpm. Tooth logger looks very clean.

It's losing the RPM signal. Please post a tooth log of what happens.

The Spark C LED flickers while the car is running as well. Not sure if it has anything to do with the issue. Spark A and Spark B stay constant.

You saved it correctly.

Try a 10K resistor in line with the VR sensor input, and adjusting the trim pots.

Tried the trim pots with no improvement. I'll give the resistor a shot.

the 10k ohm resistor took care of the issue. Thank you for a painless solution.
