Identifying mods on v3 board

Post by RuneDK »

I bought a used V3 board thinking i would easily recognize the mods made - and redo to my liking. I was very wrong.
The guy told me the car ran with a VR sensor, and direct coil control (with dizzy).

I can identify half the coil control mod, top of r26 -> 330ohm -> igbtin.
Manual states it should also have removed r57 and jump r43 - but those remain on the board.

Rest i have no clue about.
Pictures of the board here:

What i can see:
spr4 -> bottom d14
top d14 -> 330ohm -> left r24
spr2 -> bottom d16
top d16 -> 330ohm -> left r28
proto gnd -> diode??? -> top and bottom d15 soldered together -> iac1b
js7 -> ??? in shrink tube -> bottom r29
js8 -> ??? in shrink tube -> bottom r26

Hope you can shed some light on it, really want this on a car in my driveway as soon as possible

He seems to have tried putting a direct coil control mod and two logic level spark outputs on there at the same time.

The D15 circuit appears to be a relay control mod brought out on IAC1B / pin 27.

I've found out, the Fiat Uno where it came from runs a 2-tooth crank vr-sensor.

I've read the msq in the ms - seems like it runs spark A to led17(d14) which would be logic-level (to spr4).
Igtbout and ign is jumpered also.

He said it ran the coil directly, i cant figure out how the directcoil drive runs though. Also doesnt make sense when sparkA is led17. Or possible, both direct control and logic level control are built simultaniously on the board, but only 1 was used?
Also, what does JS7 and JS8 do? I mean, they're shiftlight im guessing, but shiftlight js7 to bottom of r29, and js8 to bottom r26? msq has them turning on at js7 4000rpm and js8 at 4300rpm.

Attached is msq

Now im just going on here.
Presuming it IS built for direct coil drive, but car in question has ignition module, would it be wrong of me to just drive the ignition module with the direct-coil-drive in the ms? With a 1k ohm pullup if needed?
