E85-Petrol

Post by lekman »

Hello
When I alter the fuel between E85 and normal pump gas, I change the req-fuel,. But I also have to change the cranking pulse widths, dont I?
The cranking fuel amount isnt affected by the req-fuel setting?

Consider upgrading to MS2 or MS3 that allow a flex-fuel sensor to be used for automatic adjustment.

Yes, maybe I should go for a more modern ms-version. But I just go to petrol cos its time to put the car away for winter storage, otherwise I always run it on E85.

If I choose to go for ms2 instead. Will it be a lot of adoption of the whole system . I now have ms1v3 MSnS and I would then run the ms2 the same way. It would be pretty straight forward to switch to ms2, wouldnt it?

There is a bit of work involved. Take a look at the 'Upgrading' section of the manual.

I upgraded from MS1 to MS2 specifically for the Flex Fuel capability. The upgrade was straightforward.
