So I already built my ms1 v3 and started setting it up. As I was going through ms extra manual, I noticed the EDIS wiring is different than the megamanual. I know the megamanual one is under ms2 but I was originally linked there from a ms1 page. I wired mine up like megamanual shows..........
V3.0 main board:
DB37 pin #36 to the SAW pin (#3) on the ignition module
DB37 pin #24 to the PIP pin (#1) on the ignition module
On the V3.0 main board:
use the 'Hall sensor circuit' (step #50.a in the assembly guide) - jumper D1 and D2,
jumper OPTOIN to TACHSELECT on the bottom side of the PCB, near the DB37 connector, opposite the heat sink,
jumper TSEL to OPTOOUT on the bottom side of the PCB, near the center.
jumper JS10 to IGN (this uses the processor port for the SAW signal directly),
jumper XG1 to XG2 on the bottom side of the PCB, near the 40 pin socket
But ms extra is completely different. I'm eventually going to run a ms2 CPU. So I was wondering if it matters which one I use

Or... if you are going to run an MS2, go ahead and buy it now. The settings are quite different between the old MS1 and MS2. You'll be better off just starting with MS2.
