MS1 not running past ASE
So I've installed my homebrew turbo kit on my 95 mazda Miata. I had the car running good on MS while it was still N/A. First start with the turbocharger installed and the car wont run past ASE, then it leans out, it hits around a 9-10 and then slowly goes to 14 and quickly dies. I haven't changed anything in TS, same injectors too. The only thing I did switch was Plugs which I swapped back and made no difference. I'm not using the IAC although it is plumbed but unplugged because it will just Idle at 2000 and have no changes to my input. Really confuse HELP! Tune and log attached

Check your fuel pressure.

Has your VE table always gone to 230kpa?
Find the Manuals up top under Quick links: Manuals.

Re: MS1 not running past ASE
Hi there.
I just recently had exactly ( or almost) the same issue on a car that's been running flawlessly for about 6 years.
All of a sudden while driving she began "splattering" or so the owner said, which degraded until the engine stopped.
On all checks Everything seemed to be good.
Would fire up with the cranking fuel injected but would immediately die.
Only thing that eventually corrected the issue was to reload the firmware and reload the exact tune that was on the ecu...
Bang! All good again...
Also would love to know what caused the firmware to fallover..
Kindest Regards
Gordon.

Re: MS1 not running past ASE
Older firmwares (including all MS1s) were not fully protected against noise on the serial line writing junk data to the ECU. This has been done in the latest MS3 and MS2/Extra.

Re: MS1 not running past ASE
I lost track on this - is the vulnerability always active, or just while actually hooked up and communicating with the outside world?
Is there a hardware fix / improvement to harden the serial comms?

On our incident the ecu was not talking to any pc/laptop.
Customer was on his way to work when it went belly up.
Yeah I'd be interested in any possible cure.

MS1 processors have gone end-of-life, and once the current stash is gone, they're gone.
