I am helping a friends with his r33 skyline and after many many hours of fiddling with the opto CAS, we are trying our luck with a vr sensor stead.
No luck to be found though.
No signal what so ever.
Nothing in the trigger log.
I did find some conflicting info in the msmanual. In one place in says that the negative and shield should be grounded on sensor ground and the other place in the manual says other on pin One and two.
I'm guessing that the second is the newest and best way?

You should be able to see the opto sensor switching when cranking with a DVM set to volts. Maybe even easier if you turn the engine slowly by hand.
