Ms1 v2.2 water injection help

Post by boostin »

Good evening

I am looking for some help setting up water injection with my megasquirt. I have read the instructions and feel very confused if anyone has any pointers it would be appreciated.

I am running at AEM pump and nozzle, and plan to use the megasquirt to control it. at the moment I do not have a solenoid for it I would like to run it at least for now without the solenoid.. sadly no extra money but need to run the water injection.

Also what terminals of the db37 do you use for the pump and solenoid?

I probably can't be much help but I will be doing same with WI control on my MSPSPv2. Guessing your MS1 has similar control functions as the MS2 versions?

Simplest method is to find an output control on your options plug which is based off MAP data. Something like option 1= boost control solenoid would work. The output could function as a switch to control a relay to pump. This will allow pump to start when certain pressure reached (ie 100kpa).

Hope that this is of some help. Maybe this bump will temp one of the experts to chime in.

It would help if you could be more specific about what parts of the directions you're having trouble with.

Available pins on the DB37 on a V2.2 board are 25, 27, 29, 31, and 36.

25 connects to X11.
27 connects to X12.
29 connects to X13.
31 connects to X14.
36 does not have a connection point. Using it requires soldering directly to the DB37.

Ok I have a question, I was going to use x11, but many years ago I missed the ecu for edis, what does the wire from the led to x11 do?

Normal EDIS mods use this for the SAW (spark angle word) signal to the EDIS module.

But mine does not use that pin on the db37 that x11 connects to, is there a chance I did my edis wrong?

Your mods are set up to bring the SAW signal out on pin 25.

Use the schematics to locate a 12V and a ground source.

The relay coil should be powered by the main or fuel pump relay; the contacts can be powered by the FPR or direct to the battery. The MS is switching the coil ground.
boostin wrote:also what is the emitter on the ground?
Errr .... what? If you are using an NPN transistor, then the emitter is connected to ground. If that's not your question, I have no idea what you're asking.
