Hi there
Im all new to the community, and also not the best to english either, but i will try my way anyway
I have problems with my ms1 box that sits on my drifter it has been running smooth in redlight with no problems for 3 years now.
Then suddenly it makes resets and almost dies out, some times dies out.
I have tried almost everything:
watched with scoope on crank and cam sensor - no outfall
watched with scope on coils - no spikes
watched injectors with scoope - ok
went through all grounds and cleaned them up - ok
drived without alternator - no diff.
checked realys - ok
Tried with new coils - no diff
I have also tried to make a log with just ignition on and there are no resets, only when the engine is on the resets come.
Sometimes the rpm goes so low the ASE starts up again.
When it resets i can hear the fuel pump relay click, so the box must shuts down somehow??
I have attached a log where you can see the resets.
I am somehow convinced it is in the box the fault is, but would like to hear some of you experts about it ;)

Where is the ECU getting power and ground?
Are you using high or low impedance injectors?

Im using high impedance injectors, the big ground to the ecu has its own place on the chassis, and the positive goes through its own switch. I have tried to clean the connections but without any effect.

Try relocating the ground from the chassis to the negative terminal of the battery.

So i have been playing around with scoope on my dyno, and what i can see is that with WOT when it starts to boost the ignition just cuts/resets i can see the secL goes to zero every time so i know its a reset and not a missfire.
i can see the injection time looks fine when the resets come, but the ignition disapears?
I am pretty convinced that its in the ecu/ a bad solder or something
its worse when its hot.
i have tried new coils, spark plugs, ignition modules, tested grounds, tested power to ecu and users.
what do you guys think?

Have you tried grounding the ECU to the battery negative terminal directly? If so, what were the results?

i have tried grounding directly to the battery with no diff.
But i found the problem today
my coils where damaged because I had with fault bought the wrong spark plugs.
the original spark plugs are 1.5k ohm and those i bought was 4.5k ohm and they had burned my coils and sending current back to the ecu so its resets.
so i bought 6 original spark plugs and 6 new coils and it drive with no resets at all

Sorry dont have any link to my project im all new in here, but beginning to play alot around with megasquirt.
Im currently building an ms2 on a e55 mercedes amg'er with supercharger and on an another m50 engine build in an e46.
So I'm pretty sure it's not the last time I'll post in here when I mess somethinget up
