v2.2 ITB mode?

Post by andy198712 »

hello

can i run ITB mode on 2.2?

i'm using MS1 2.2 for my beetle running gsxr ITBs and EDIS for ignition. currently running it using the MAP via SD, but i seem to be kissing WOT map a lot when i'm not WOT ect, and i idle about 65kpa but that quickly shoots up, i have about 2kpa difference between my fast cruise and WOT at times ect, standard ITB issues so would really like to run ITB mode. but in all the searches its all via MS2 or V3 boards ect....

any guides about?

cheers

MS1 doesn't support ITB mode. You need to upgrade to MS2 or MS3.

You're comparing apples and oranges - the V2.2 and V3.0 (and V3.57) main boards can have a MS1, MS2, or MS3 processor installed. The MS1 processor can not use ITB mode.

A V2.2 board can have an MS3 daughter card installed, but it's a lot harder for the hardware for the additional functions to be installed.

You can try setting it up as alpha-n, and enable hybrid alpha-n (Basic / Load settings -> Advanced Code Options). Alot of toyotas 4age ran itb's that way very successfully :)

Started a toyota engine with gsx-r throttle bodies as well last friday on a ms1, waiting for new clt sensor so i can map it :)

Cool buddy, sounds fun!

I've just switched over to alpha n and its runs well, response it probably better I feel.
It doesn't start as well but I just need to tune the warm up I guess :)

I tried that but nothing happened sadly, I couldn't see any set point setting area or things like that.

The gsxr ITBs are a nice compact and complete setup, injectors and TPS. I've split mine into pairs but finding air filters is the trickery bit
