ms1 extra help

this is all new to me having only used megajolt light before.
I have a megasquirt extra with mainboard v3.0 and cpu ms1 with firmware 029y4a.

I would like to use this on my lotus elan which has a ford st170 engine, using standard injectors on jenvy throttle bodys. The age of the car meens it does not need to comply with immision laws. am using all the standard sensors on the st170 ie vr/cam position/knock/vvt ?.

Idont know how to start setting the ecu up. have connected to it using turner studio and all seems ok ie getting temp readings and 02 voltage. will be using wasted spark ignition. And am told that my ecu can drive the coil pack directly.

can anyone point me in the right direction on how to start setting it up

MS1 will not be able to control the VTC on this engine unless you upgrade it to an MS3, and it doesn't support the factory cam sensor either. But you could run the engine in wasted spark with just the crank sensor. This article may help.
