MS1 v3.0 024y9 Starts and runs for aprox 3 min. then is dead

Hi all.

Having some trouble with a car that starts when cold just fine, but when hot dies and wont start until cold again.

its a vr pickup that shows a good tooth log. Single coil with distributor,4 cyl.
I tried lowering the dwell time, but it had no effect.

I'm running out of ideas. Am I missing something or is it in the hardware?

It looks like the way the timing starts backing off just below the RPM it was idling at meant it wasn't able to "catch" things when the RPM slowed down.

Ok, but why wont it start then?
Its totaly dead until it cools off completely.
New distributor cap and rotor, with new spark leads. Switched coil as well.

There is spark and fuel. Although, the spark is a bit weak.

I don't know. I will need to see a data log of what happens when you try a hot restart.

Have you got a wideband O2 sensor? That would show if the AFR is doing something odd as it warms up. Can't seem to find one in your log.

Did another test start/run today.
It starts just fine and when it hets warmed up it starts to miss fire and miss behave.

Saw that one injector wasn't seated all the way. Gonna fix that to elliminate a potential vaccum leak.
Hopefully thats the whole problem.

I do, but after an update. I'm having some trouble with the logging.
Same with megalog viewer. I have no lambda anymore. Only raw O2 volt and afr.

Can you see the AFR in Tuner Studio? I'd first be checking it doesn't go very weak or whatever as it warms up.

I can. That works fine. I got my lambda in ts, just not in ML.

The lambda is fine during warmup and the last multiplier is 100% in the warmup wizard. The thermostat opens and the engine temp is stable, then it start to stumble and die, then it wont start.
I checked the temp of the Ignition driver and its not hot, only about bodytemp. I also re adjusted the trimpots.




Whats the deal with the new ML and no lambda?
