1k resistor for using fidle output as spark.

Postby jon volk » Sun Mar 20, 2005 8:23 am

Im a newbie to this ciruit board stuff and was a little confused about the 1k resistor needed when converting the fidle output to control spark.

I read the explanation of what the "pull up" resistor does but is this a special kind of resistor or does a standard 1k resestor wired in act like a "pull up" resistor? Anyone have a part number for the resistor they used?

There is very little current, basically any resistor will do...I believe I used on of the spares from my MS build, 1.2K IIRC.

Ok, so its just a standard resistor then. This pull up stuff was confusing me. Thanks!
